The owner of this home came to us with a quite developed idea about the design of their kitchen. Together with our kitchen designer, the design was refined and resolved further, producing this unashamedly contemporary space with wow factor.
The main element here is the oversize kitchen island with a lovely slab of black pearl granite on top, creating a cooking, eating, and entertaining focal point in the room. With cooktop, sink unit, drawers and microwave all built in, this island is where it all happens. The overhead extraction units in stainless make a real statement and are well matched to the overall look of the kitchen. Behind the island is an appliance wall to complete the kitchen workzone. The pantry is off to one side.
The colour palette is relatively monochromatic because the variety of materials and finishes more than compensates.
