Zen Herne Bay Kitchen The owner of this spectacular new home in Herne Bay, is no stranger to developing residences that set the standard for luxury, style and quality. Working with interior designer, Chantelle Smith, of Iris Projects, Neo Design was responsible for the cabinetry which included the kitchen, laundry, wine room, bathrooms, and storage units, among others. Smith, with a fine arts background, developed a palette of colours, finishes and materials that lift this home into a league of its own. Neo’s task was to create beautiful cabinetry, that embodied her vision and delivered in a functional sense within the plan of the home. The kitchen, in a large open space, is ideally suited to a main wall and island configuration. The scullery in an adjacent space, has a gallery layout with access from both ends and the kitchen. In line with the design ethos for the home, the choice of materials and limited palette is designed to create a zen feeling – clean lines, calm, elegant spaces. Gaggenau appliances complete the picture and offer an exceptional level of functionality. Blum hardware has been used throughout the kitchen. The scullery emulates the main kitchen area, as well as having an unrestricted view to the enclosed Japanese garden. |
