Classic contemporary kitchen with a twist

The kitchen design for this Devonport villa renovation defies categorisation but shows that mixing genres can be successful in the right hands. Traditional shaker style fronts, steel and glass shelves, and a minimalist-look island with waterfall ends, in Calacatta supreme Uniquartz, all come together in a harmonious way.

The client has opted for a bold colour choice with Resene double foundry paint, and to

display her collection of glass, the steel and glass open shelving is powder-coated black.

The result is much greater than the sum of the parts, with a kitchen space that is stylish, inviting, interesting and a great addition in the open plan space.
