Understated elegance in Orakei

This new kitchen, in a substantial Auckland home, exudes an air of calm, sophistication and elegance. Designed to sit easily in the larger, open plan space without dominating it, the new look is light years from the client's previous kitchen (see BEFORE image).

 

Kitchen designer Wayne Church, worked with interior designer Emma Hofmann, of WIM Studio, to create a totally new layout and look that emphasizes the kitchen as a multi-purpose focal point in the open plan space, not just as a kitchen. The open display unit framed in Primestone Statuario Venato, allows the clients to display favourite pieces, and the simplicity of the forms and materials creates space and lightness. The kitchen is fully specced with the latest Fisher and Paykel appliances and all Blum hardware, making easy work of all kitchen tasks.
