'Concrete' kitchen is subtle and elegant
|
This stunning new kitchen from kitchen designer, Wayne Church, showcases a minimalist, monolithic style. The existing kitchen had seen better days, the polished concrete floor was staying, and the owner wanted to keep the existing layout, which worked well in the generous open-plan space. Church kept the lines super-clean and minimal, with handle-less cabinets, integrated appliances and a minimum of finishes to create an integrated and restful space. The dark-stained oak doors are bold against the softer drawer fronts and island, and the owners refurbished bar stools complete a unified look, with the existing polished concrete floor. The choice of ‘Concrete’ high pressure laminate and matching ‘Concrete’ composite stone bench top gives an incredibly soft look, contrary to what the name might suggest. |
